Shakespeare Educational Tour &
In-Class Teaching Artist Workshop

Bring Lanes Coven to your school for a professional performance and / or in-class workshop.

In 2026 we’re performing Romeo & Juliet in classrooms across Cape Ann. Our cast and crew use theater and theater-tools to enhance students’ understanding of Shakespeare’s language & poetry.

  • We come to your school with 9 actors, 1 stage manager & 1 educational coordinator, a few small boxes, chairs, music, dance & fight choreography & costumes.

We need 90 minutes for set up, followed by 90 minutes for the performance.

We bring our own sound equipment and small set pieces & costumes. We need someone from the school present who knows how to turn on the stage lights to a nice “wash.”

  • For pricing details, please contact lanescoven@gmail.com

  • Let us know you’re interested in bringing us to your school by first completing this form.

    We’ll be in touch.

Support The Shakespeare Educational Fund

The Shakespeare Educational Fund brings the power of live Shakespeare performance directly to schools each year.

Lanes Coven Theater Co. tours one 75 minute cut of a Shakespeare play to local schools in the spring, performing dynamic, easy to understand Shakespeare productions that spark curiosity, excitement, and a connection to Shakespeares plays.

Your support removes financial barriers that often keep schools—especially under-resourced ones—from experiencing live theatre by helping cover performance costs. This ensures that students don’t just read Shakespeare, but see it and feel it come alive.

Performances are paired with interactive talkbacks and in class workshops that invite students to ask questions, explore the language, and discover that Shakespeare’s stories still speak to their own lives.

By contributing to the Shakespeare Educational Fund you will insure a performance at O'Malley Middle School each year. Remaining funds will go towards other schools, libraries, and community spaces that are in need of financial aid.

Please donate and help share the stories, the beauty, the humanity, and the majesty of Shakespeare's work with the next generation!
